In late November (November 21-30) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,150.0/mt ($173.5/mt), remaining stable, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was recorded at RMB 1,576.3/mt ($238.5/mt), up RMB 57.5/mt ($8.7/mt) or up 3.8 percent, both compared to the prices in mid-November (November 11-20), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on December 4.
