In mid-December (December 11-20) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,150.0/mt ($173.5/mt), remaining stable, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was recorded at RMB 1,993.9/mt ($303.9/mt), up 12.90 percent, both compared to prices in early December (December 1-10), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on December 25.
