Average HRB 400 rebar price in China down 0.8 percent in early Jan

In early January (January 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipe and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 2,689.2/mt ($433.7/mt), RMB 2,782.1/mt ($448.7/mt), RMB 2,927.7/mt ($472.2/mt), RMB 3,081.0/mt ($496.9/mt), RMB 3,703.6/mt ($597.4/mt) and RMB 3,010.4/mt ($485,5/mt), down RMB 21.6/mt ($3.5mt), RMB 16.0/mt ($2.6/mt), RMB 46.5/mt ($7.5/mt), RMB 25.8/mt ($4.2/mt), RMB 7.1/mt ($1.1/mt) and RMB 26.6/mt ($4.3/mt), indicating respective decreases of 0.8 percent, 0.6 percent, 1.6 percent, 0.8 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.9 percent compared to prices in late December (December 21-30), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
