Australia imposes preliminary AD duty on rebar imports from China

Australia’s Antidumping Commission has announced its preliminary antidumping (AD) duty rates for rebar imports from China. The commission has determined that rebar imports from China caused material injury to local producers. The duty rates are in the range of 5.8 percent and 24 percent.

The antidumping duty investigation was initiated in July this year, upon the application by domestic producer OneSteel Manufacturing Pty Ltd.

The goods subject to antidumping duty currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7214.20.00, 7228.30.90, 7213.10.00, 7227.90.10 and 7227.90.
