ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih to establish new company to produce spare parts

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, has announced that it will create a manufacturing company for the production of high-quality spare parts for its own needs and for the needs of external customers. The new company, named LLC Casting & Mechanical Plant, will be created as an independent business unit with a full cycle: from production of liquid steel in electric arc furnaces to finished spare parts and machine-building equipment.

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih stated that the aim of the new plant is to minimize purchases from external companies and reduce emergency orders in order to reduce costs, enhance capacity and product range and improve productivity and enhance competitiveness due to business process optimization.

The plant will be comprised of the existing shops of the company's central maintenance and repair department - the mold production shop, steel foundry shop, iron foundry shop, mechanical repair shops Nos.1, 2 and 3, and the metal structures shop.
