Anti-dumping duties on CRSS imports into Thailand
The Committee of Foreign Trade Department of Thailand stated that anti-dumping duties would apply to 47 items of cold rolled stainless steel from Japan, the European Union, Taiwan and Korea.Japan : 18.67% - 52.03% of CIF price EU : 10.05% - 51.12% Taiwan: 7.77% - 60.19% Korea : 51.54%The measures will be in force until November 29, 2002. At the same time, the Central Committee on Goods and Services Prices placed controls on domestic prices of several steel products in order to protect local users. The price of hot-rolled steel prices will be capped at 11.66 baht a kilogramme, hot-rolled steel sheet at 12.15 baht, cold-rolled steel at 16 baht, galvanised steel sheet at 20.83 baht, and cold-rolled stainless steel at 63 baht a kilogramme.
