Ansteel supplies steel plate for nuclear power plant project

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Anshan Iron and Steel Co. (Ansteel) has announced that it will supply over 10,000 mt of steel plates for the world first third generation nuclear power project, i.e., for the Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant in Zhejiang Province. So far 2,300 mt of the safety shell (CV) steel plates have been produced by Ansteel’s Bayuquan subsidiary, and they will be used in two CAP 1400 units at the power plant.
