Ansteel Mining targets annual iron ore output capacity of 220 million mt

On October 11, Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Angang Steel Group Co. (Ansteel) has announced that its will focus on developing its mining subsidiary to the scale of a world-class mining company, thereby increasing its advantage in the raw materials segment.

 

Accordingly, its subsidiary Ansteel Mining will eventually increase its annual iron ore output to 222 million mt and expand its annual iron ore concentrate output to 70 million mt, which will bring Ansteel Mining up to the level of the world's major mining giants.
