Acciaierie Venete orders equipment from Siemens VAI

The Italian longs producer Acciaierie Venete SpA has placed an order with Siemens VAI for the supply of mechanical equipment for a new reversing intermediate mill at the company's plant in Mura, province of Brescia.

Apart from the mechanical equipment, the scope of supplies includes fluid systems, a total of three spare stands, and the engineering for adapting the existing equipment to the new intermediate mill.

The project in question has a value of several million euro and is due to for completion in the second half of 2009.
