Turkey ends AD probe on HR flat steel imports from seven countries

Turkey’s Ministry of Economy has announced that it has terminated the antidumping (AD) duty investigation on hot rolled (HR) flat steel imports from China, France, Japan, Romania, Russia, Slovakia and Ukraine.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Economy published in Turkey’s Official Gazette, upon the withdrawal of the application made by Turkish steelmakers Erdemir, Toscelik and Colakoğlu, the ministry decided to terminate the investigation in question. 

As SteelOrbis previously reported, under the antidumping duty investigation, launched on January 28, 2015, upon the complaint filed by Erdemir, Toscelik and Colakoğlu and supported by Turkish steelmakers Isdemir and Habas, the ministry decided to impose preliminary antidumping duties on hot rolled flat steel imports from the given countries for a period of six months. 

The goods in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7208.37.00.90.11, 7208.37.00.90.19, 7208.38.00.90.11, 7208.38.00.90.19, 7208.39.00.90.11, 7208.39.00.90.19 and 7225.30.90.00.00.
