Pricing, order activity and inquiries within the US domestic and import API X-52 ERW line pipe markets have once again remained stable, as many within the US have begun to take time off work in advance of the Christmas holiday.

The most recently heard offers from Mexican mills continue to hold at $62.50-$65 cwt. ($1,378-$1,433/mt or $1,250-$1,300/nt), FOB Texas, while spot market prices from domestic pipe producers are still trending in the range of $64-$67 cwt. ($1,411-$1,477/mt or $1,280-$1,340/nt) ex-mill.

Market activity is expected to be light until the first week of January, as many US steel industry employees have taken next week off in observance of Christmas.
