Demand in the Romanian seamless pipe market remains moderate. Romanian domestic prices for seamless pipes have been stable over the past month despite some slowing down in the market ahead of the Easter holidays. Over the same period, Romanian exporters have lifted their export offers by €10-15/mt ($11-16/mt) amid slight increases in scrap prices and improving demand in some export outlets. Market participants do not think that seamless pipe demand in the domestic market will improve significantly in the coming period amid low consumer activity, while they hope that interest from foreign customers will improve and that export sales will gradually increase.
Romanian domestic quotations of 3"-10" seamless pipes made to ASTM or EN are at about €860-880/mt ($937-959/mt) delivered, excluding 24 percent VAT.
Export offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given by ArcelorMittal Roman to the external markets at around €880-915/mt ($959-997/mt) FCA, while 14" pipes are at levels of €930-960/mt ($1,014-1,046/mt) FCA.
Import offers of 3"-4" seamless pipes from the Czech Republic (ArcelorMittal) of grade B as per ASTM A106 are being given to the Romanian market at €850-880/mt ($927-959/mt) CPT.
