The Polish welded pipe market is still characterized by moderate demand. Domestic prices for welded pipes in Poland have been unchanged over the past month amid limited trading activity and stable feedstock costs. Import offers of Italian welded pipes have decreased by €5-10/mt over the period under review, while Bulgarian suppliers have cut their quotations by €15-20/mt in the same period. Most market players agree that conditions will not improve significantly in the Polish welded pipe market in the short run, but local suppliers are not planning to take a backward step on their prices.
Current domestic offers of square and rectangular hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from S235 JRH grade hot rolled coil (HRC) according to EN 10219 are in the range of €540-555/mt ($610-627/mt) ex-works, exclusive of 23 percent VAT. ERW galvanized pipes made to EN 10240 are quoted for local customers at €830-855/mt ($937-966/mt) delivered.
Quotations of Italian black welded pipes of 2"-6" size with wall thickness of 2.0-4.0 mm as per EN 10219 made from S235JR grade HRC to the Polish market are at levels of €540-585/mt ($610-661/mt) CPT on actual weight basis.
Offers of Bulgarian ERW pipes and hollow sections of 2-5 mm wall thickness made from S235JR grade HRC as per EN 10219 to Polish customers are standing at an average of €505-520/mt ($571-588/mt) CPT on theoretical weight basis.
