The seamless pipe market in the Czech Republic has not undergone any major changes over the past month. Demand has remained bleak due to regional financial problems. Buyers are still reluctant to purchase seamless pipes, preferring to wait for prices to decrease.
Meanwhile, Czech producer ArcelorMittal Ostrava has left its offers at the previous levels. However, market players believe seamless pipe prices in the Czech Republic will weaken in the fourth quarter amid falling raw material quotations, lackluster demand and the usual worsening of market sentiment at the end of the year.
Current export prices for 2"-3" Sch 40 seamless bare pipes (without varnish coating) of steel grade B made to ASTM A106 from ArcelorMittal Ostrava are at €950-990/mt ($1,226-1,277/mt) for October-November rolling, while 1/2"-1" seamless pipes are at €1,070-1,120/mt ($1,380-1,445/mt) FCA.
