During the given week, steel pipe prices have mostly moved down due to slack demand. The high temperatures will continue to exert a negative impact on the steel pipe market. However, production restrictions due to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China may bolster prices to some extent.

Rebar futures prices at Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) stand at RMB 5,147/mt ($797/mt) on June 30, up RMB 213/mt ($33/mt) or 4.3 percent from June 23.
