Export demand for standard seamless pipes from the CIS remains slack amid the seasonal decline in business activity during the summer season in Europe and Ramadan in the Middle East. Prices for seamless pipes from Ukraine have decreased by $20-30/mt over the past month. Export prices for seamless pipes from Russia have declined by around $50/mt over the past month. At the same time, there is no real impression of any sustainable improvement in demand. Without strong demand, it will be difficult to see a recovery in the CIS export seamless pipe market, and prices may remain at low levels with some fluctuations possible.
Export prices from Ukrainian mill Interpipe for 2"-6" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106 are quoted at around $780-820/mt FOB for the Middle Eastern market, while pipes as per EN are offered at about $750-780/mt ex-works for the European market.
Export offers of seamless pipes of 60-168 mm diameter, of 10, 20 steel grades according to GOST 8731/8732 or ASTM A106, from Ukraine's Dnepropetrovsk Tube Works are at $820-850/mt FOB.
Russia-based ChTPZ Group's export quotations for 2"-8" seamless pipes of grade B according to ASTM A106/API 5L are at $750-760/mt FOB, while quotations of 12"-20" seamless pipes are at $900-950/mt FOB.
Seamless pipes with 60.3-168.3 mm diameter of P235TR1 grades as per EN 10216-2 from ChTPZ Group are quoted in the range of $1,020-1,040/mt FOB.
Export prices for July production of seamless pipes from Russia-based TMK, of 10, 20 steel grade, as per GOST 8731/8732 are in the range of $700-760/mt FOB Novorossiysk, depending on the diameter and the producer. In particular, export prices for seamless hot-formed pipes with diameter 57-426 mm from Volzhsky Pipe Plant are about $700-740/mt FOB. Seamless pipes with diameter 114-219 mm of 10, 20 steel grade made to GOST 8731/8732 from Tagmet are quoted in the range of $740-760/mt FOB. Seamless hot-formed pipes with diameter 57-168 mm, 10, 20 steel grade, made to GOST from Sinarsky PP are quoted at $720-750/mt FOB.
Export prices of 8"-16" Sch STD seamless pipes ex Russia's TMK, of grade B as per ASTM A106/API 5L are in the range of $730-780/mt FOB Novorossiysk.
