Turkish mills reduce ship scrap purchase prices

Three Turkish mills have revised their ship scrap purchase prices, though the movements were not similar. While Habas and IDC decreased their prices downwards by $10/mt from the long-lived $480/mt to $470/mt, Ege Celik decided to increase its prices by $2/mt as compared to the levels recorded on Monday, July 26. As a result of the changes, Turkey’s ship scrap market has decreased from the upper end by $10/mt and as of today the general price range in Turkey’s ship scrap market is at $450-470/mt.
