Turkish mills conclude scrap bookings at weekend

SteelOrbis has learned that Turkish mills concluded a number of scrap transactions at the weekend.

Accordingly, in an ex-Canada scrap transaction to Turkey, a single scrap cargo composed of 22,000 mt of shredded scrap, 4,500 mt of HMS I/II 90:10 scrap and 1,500 mt of HMS I/II 70:30 scrap was booked at $461/mt CFR.

On the other hand, SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that an ex-US scrap deal was concluded in Turkey for 20,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $461/mt CFR and 20,000 mt of P&S scrap at $471/mt CFR.

Finally, a Turkish mill concluded a booking of a single cargo of ex-Denmark scrap at $460/mt CFR. The cargo is composed of 17,500 mt of P&S scrap, 7,500 mt of HMS I scrap and 25,000 mt of shredded scrap.
