Turkey’s ship scrap prices unchanged, one mill halts purchases

Turkey’s ship scrap market has remained stable at $450-480/mt, though one of the mills in Turkey’s Izmir region has stepped out of the market and stopped purchasing ship scrap for now. The uptrend of the local ship scrap market had come to a halt on May 20. Since then two mills have reduced their ship scrap purchase prices by $20-25/mt in total, while the others have kept their prices stable.
