Some Turkish mills revise ship scrap purchase prices upwards

Some Izmir region-based Turkish steel producers have revised their local purchase prices for ship scrap, following the uptick in the import scrap prices. Three out of five local mills have increased their ship scrap purchase prices by $5/mt over the past week to $250/mt CPT, SteelOrbis has learned. This uptrend is likely to continue if import scrap prices remain firm, sources expect.

In Turkey's Aliaga region the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
