Some Turkish mills hike local scrap purchase prices, general range stable

Some Turkish mills have increased their domestic scrap purchase prices over the past week, by TRY 100-200/mt or $2-4/mt in this period, while stable lira-based prices were matched by a $1/mt decline in dollar prices. The general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has remained stable at TRY 12,800-14,300/mt. Due to the slight fluctuations observed in the exchange rate, the dollar-based prices have moved down by $2-3/mt to $306-342/mt.
