Pig iron price in India

SteelOrbis has been informed that local sales prices of pig iron in India are currently at the level of Rupees 20,000/mt ($403/mt) ex-works, excluding excise duty of 14.4 percent and four percent VAT. As a final decision of the meetings held by domestic mills today, it is projected that the BPI (basic pig iron) prices for December will show a decrease of Rupees 3,000-4,000/mt ($60-81/mt) to the range of Rupees 16,000-17,000/mt ($322-341/mt) in the local Indian market.
