On August 20, SteelOrbis reported that offers for containerized shredded (shredded 211) scrap from the EU and UK to Pakistan were generally at $299-305/mt CFR.

Sources now inform SteelOrbis that shredded scrap offers from the EU and UK to Pakistan have now declined with the lower import scrap deals to Turkey and prices are now at $288-295/mt CFR, a decline of $11/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $10/mt from the top of the previous range. A source noted that bids for the moment are also seeking further discounts on ongoing offers due to market uncertainty.
