Lower grade graphite electrode prices up in China

On March 26, SteelOrbis reported that the average domestic graphite electrode price in China for HP (high-powered) 450 graphite grade was reportedly at RMB 33,000/mt ($4,911/mt) while UHP 600 was reportedly at RMB 60,000/mt ($8,929/mt), all prices ex-warehouse.

According to a recent report provided to SteelOrbis, the average HP (high-powered) 450 graphite grade price is now reportedly at RMB 39,000/mt ($5,804/mt) while the average UHP 600 price is reportedly stable at RMB 60,000/mt ($8,929/mt), all prices ex-warehouse. The average price on HP 450 has increased by $893/mt.
