Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have decreased by INR 100/mt ($1.5/mt) over the past week to INR 18,800/mt ($286/mt) ex-yard over the past week, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have decreased by INR 300/mt ($4.5/mt) over the same period to INR 21,400/mt ($326/mt) ex-yard.
