Local Turkish scrap prices fall further

Today, March 12, some Turkish mills have decreased their local scrap purchase prices by TRY 50-150/mt ($13-28/mt). Meanwhile, some Turkish mills have kept their prices stable in the local currency, with their dollar-based quotations falling by $2-9/mt, amid currency fluctuations.

Accordingly, the general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has settled at TRY 2,900-3,720/mt, while the dollar-based quotations have fallen from the range of $409-499/mt to $382-490/mt.
