Local scrap quotations in Indian market - week 48

Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have increased by INR 1,200/mt over the past week to INR 17,900/mt ($261/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have moved up by INR 1,100/mt over the same period to INR 19,100/mt ($278/mt) ex-yard.
 
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have remained unchanged week on week at $270/mt CFR.
