Local scrap quotations in Indian market - week 31

Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have increased by INR 300/mt ($5/mt) over the past week to INR 15,500/mt ($232/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have moved up by INR 300/mt ($5/mt) over the same period to INR 17,300/mt ($259/mt) ex-yard.
 
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have remained unchanged week on week at $220/mt CFR.
