Latest situation in local Italian scrap market

Over the past week, domestic scrap prices in the Italian market have remained unchanged week on week and scrap supplies in the market has remained strong. After a modest decrease of €10-20/mt in early October as compared to September, domestic scrap prices seem to have stabilized following the uptrend of import scrap prices in Turkey. Currently the market situation looks decent, as local players are waiting for further developments in the coming two weeks in order to understand how scrap prices will trend in November.
