According to market sources, Japanese H2 grade scrap offers to Taiwan are standing at $313/mt CFR, while H1/H2 (50:50) scrap quotations from Japan to the same destination are at $318-320/mt CFR. It is reported that Taiwanese buyers consider these levels to be on the high side, while market sources have added that, if H2 scrap quotations decrease to $300/mt or below, they may become competitive in the Taiwanese market.
