India’s NMDC Limited hikes prices of iron ore lumps and fines

India’s state-run miner NMDC Limited has increased prices of iron ore lumps and fines by INR 300/mt ($3.60/mt) with immediate effect, company sources said on Friday, September 15.

Following the upward revision, the price of iron ore lumps (10-40 mm, with Fe content of 67 percent and above) now stands at INR 6,270/mt ($75.54/mt) ex-pithead and that of iron ore fines (10 mm and lower, with Fe content of 64 percent and lower) stands at INR 4,210/mt ($50.72/mt) ex-pithead.

All prices are inclusive of mandatory levies like District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (NMET) cess and forest permit fees.
