India’s NMDC hikes prices of iron ore lumps and fines

Indian state-run iron ore miner NMDC Limited has increased prices of lumps and fines by INR 300/mt ($4/mt) with immediate effect, company sources said on Wednesday, November 30. 

Following the hike, the effective price for iron ore lumps will be INR 4,400/mt ($53.85/mt) ex-pithead and that of fines will be INR 3,210/mt ($39.29/mt) ex-pithead. 

The prices are exclusive of royalty and mandatory payments to District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (NMET), cess, forest permit fees and other statutory payments.
