India’s domestic ferrosilicon prices trending stable, up in dollar terms

On June 28, SteelOrbis reported prices for Indian domestic ferrosilicon (70-75 percent) at INR 68,800-70,500/mt ($998-1,022/mt) ex-warehouse in the northeast India region.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that domestic ferrosilicon continues trending stable with some slight softness in deals. Prices are now reportedly at INR 68,800-70,500/mt ($1,005-1,030/mt) ex-warehouse in northeast India. Due to currency fluctuations, the bottom of the new range increased $7/mt while the top of the increased $8/mt. A source noted a continued weak demand for the alloy.
