Ex-US scrap offers to India

On September 28, SteelOrbis reported ex-US containerized shredded scrap offers at $330/mt CFR Nhava.

According to sources, ex-US containerized shredded scrap offers to India are presently at $305-310/mt CFR Nhava. Containerized shredded scrap offers ex-US decreased $20-25/mt since late September. A limited number of import deals for containerized shredded scrap from various short-sea sources have been reportedly closed recently at $300-310/mt CFR Nhava.

Ex-US containerized HMS I/II 80:20 offers are reportedly at $295-300/mt CFR Nhava. A source noted that limited scrap import deals from various short-sea destinations for containerized HMS I/II 80:20 have been heard at $285-290/mt CFR Nhava. Containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap deals decreased $5-10/mt from those reported at $295/mt CFR Nhava in late September.

Scrap importers are expected to continue with extremely limited import deals until after the conclusion of various Indian national festivals that will continue until October 18.
