Diverse trends in Turkish ship scrap market

Since SteelOrbis’ previous report published on Monday, August 23, Turkish mills have followed different strategies for their ship scrap procurement prices. While two producers have kept their prices stable in this period, two announced decreases of $3-5/mt and one mill decided to increase its prices by $7/mt. The general price range in Turkey’s ship scrap market is now narrower at $440-445/mt, for delivery to mill by truck, against $435-447/mt recorded on August 23.
