During the given week, scrap prices in the Chinese domestic market have seen slight changes amid the slack demand for finished steel during the traditional cold winter offseason. Delivery of scrap to part of recycling bases has been at relatively low levels, bolstering its prices to a certain degree. However, since the New Year holiday is approaching, the demand for scrap will not see significant improvement, which will negatively affect its prices. It is expected that scrap prices in the Chinese domestic market will fluctuate within a limited range in the coming week.
