Reflecting higher quotations in the Chinese spot market, while ocean freight rates and premium for lumps and pellets have maintained at the same levels, iron ore prices in Brazil have increased from last week.

Sinter feed fines of 65 percent iron contents are now negotiated at $117/mt, equivalent lumps at $130/mt and blast furnace grade pellets at $143/mt, against respectively $112/mt, $124/mt and $138/mt, all CFR China conditions, dry basis.

In the Brazilian domestic market prices have also increased, reaching now respectively $90/mt, $103/mt and $117/mt, comparable with $87/mt, $99/mt and $113/mt last week, ex-works conditions, wet basis, no taxes included.
