With increased prices in the Chinese spot market, coupled with stable premium for lumps and pellets, and reduced ocean freight rates, iron ore prices for export in Brazil have increased in average by $2/mt from yesterday.
Sinter feed fines of 65 percent iron contents are now negotiated at $115/mt, equivalent lumps at $127/mt and blast furnace grade pellets at $141/mt, against respectively $113/mt, $125/mt and $139/mt, all CFR China conditions, dry basis.
In the Brazilian domestic market prices have increased in average by $5/mt. Such prices are now, respectively, $89/mt, $101/mt and $115/mt, comparable with $84/mt, $96/mt and $110/mt last week, ex-works conditions, wet basis, no taxes included.
