Wire rod prices from Turkey’s Aegean region move down

SteelOrbis has been informed that offers from a producer in Izmir in Turkey’s Aegean region for 5.5-16 mm drawing quality wire rod have declined to $660/mt ex-works, while its offers for 20MnB4 grade have fallen to $800/mt ex-works, against the backdrop of the negative sentiment in the import scrap and billet segments.

In addition, the producer’s offers for 5.5-16 mm drawing quality wire rod are at $670/mt delivered to Istanbul and its offers for 20MnB4 grade are at $810/mt delivered to Istanbul. The offers in question are $20/mt lower than the offers in the producer’s previous price list dated Wednesday, July 19.

All the above prices exclude 20 percent VAT and are for cash payments.
