Wire rod prices down in Turkey’s Karabuk region

Turkish integrated steel mill Kardemir in Karabuk region has announced its domestic wire rod prices on January 14, having also reopened its sales of rebar and billet. Accordingly, the producer has decreased wire rod offers by TRY 75/mt ($7/mt) since late December. As a result, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod has been settled at TRY 2,875/mt ($490/mt) ex-works, while 6-28 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is currently on offer at TRY 2,835/mt ($483/mt) ex-works.

The offers are valid for orders for 500 mt and higher, with 25 percent on cash payment basis, with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral.

Prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
