Turkish rebar offers to Iraq likely to soften further

SteelOrbis has learned that domestic rebar prices in Zakho, northern Iraq have remained unchanged at $720-725/mt ex-warehouse, while rebar offers from Turkey’s Iskenderun region to the country have softened further by $5/mt on the upper end as compared to last week, declining to $640-645/mt ex-works. In the meantime, a large volume transaction from Iskenderun to Iraq has been concluded at $625/mt ex-works. The softening of Turkey’s rebar offers to Iraq is expected to continue in the coming period.
