Turkish mills' rebar price hikes have failed to gain acceptance in the domestic market. Kardemir has failed to receive any orders for its rebar sales opened on August 9 with higher prices and domestic mills have not attracted the desired demand from traders with their prices testing TRY 1,161/mt ($645/mt) + VAT ex-works.
The Turkish domestic rebar market is foreseen to remain quiet until the last week of August amid the Ramadan holiday starting this weekend and then it is expected to show some improvement in activity.
