Turkish mills have raised their longs prices in line with the positive sentiment in the import scrap segment and the upward pricing in the local Turkish market.

Currently, ex-Turkey rebar prices are available at $700/mt FOB for August shipment, versus $650-670/mt FOB a week ago. No fresh rebar sale has been heard for now.

In the local Turkish market, Icdas has set its rebar price at $700/mt ex-works today. Moreover, most Marmara-based and Izmir-based mills are currently offering rebar at $700-710/mt ex-works, versus $640-650/mt ex-works a week ago.

In the wire rod segment, a few Turkish mills are quoting wire rod at $720/mt FOB, while one Iskenderun-based mill’s export prices for August shipment have risen by $30/mt to $690/mt FOB.
