Turkey's Icdas cuts its local longs prices on October 12

Today, October 12, Turkish steelmaker Icdas A.S. has issued its official rebar price at TRY 33,915/mt ($625/mt) ex-works, while issuing its wire rod price at TRY 34,460/mt ($635/mt) ex-works, with decreases of around TRY 145/mt ($5/mt) compared to October 5. Both prices include 10 percent VAT. The main reasons for the decreases are sluggish demand and the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment.

Today, the workable rebar prices in the Marmara and Izmir regions vary at $605-630/mt ex-works.

$1 = TRY 49.33
