Today, October 1, official wire rod prices in Turkey have mostly risen by $5/mt over the past week against the backdrop of the relatively positive sentiment in the import scrap segment.
According to sources, workable wire rod prices in Turkey are standing at around $545-555/mt ex-works, up by $5/mt on the lower end over the same period, for cash payment and for serious buyers only.
One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its official wire rod price at $560/mt ex-works today. Additional discounts are still applicable for serious buyers.
