Over the past week, Turkish mills have kept their offical wire rod prices stable, amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and sluggish demand. Additional discounts are applicable for serious buyers only.

An Iskenderun-based mill has kept its official wire rod price unchanged at $640/mt ex-works today, December 19.

Kardemir's latest price for 6-27 mm SAE 1008-1010 wire rod is at $635/mt ex-works, as per its price list issued on Wednesday, December 13. In addition, one Samsun-based mill is its offering official mesh grade wire rod price at TRY 22,500/mt, equal to $645/mt, ex-works, at the current exchange rate, SteelOrbis has heard.

Most local buyers are taking their time to restock ahead of the Turkish Central Bank's interest rate decision due on Thursday, December 21 and the negative sentiment on the demand side.
