Today, May 14, official wire rod prices in Turkey have increased by $2.5-5.0/mt amid costlier import scrap, while only remaining stable in the Iskenderun region, as compared to yesterday.
According to sources, workable wire rod prices in Turkey are at around $555-570/mt ex-works, up by $5/mt over the same period, depending on the region.
One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its wire rod price at $585/mt ex-works today. In addition, Kardemir has set its 6-27 mm wire rod of SAE 1008-1010 grade at $575/mt ex-works today.
