Official wire rod prices in Turkey have fallen by $5-20/mt in the Izmir and Marmara regions, while remaining stable in the rest of the country, as compared to Wednesday, April 9, against the backdrop of weaker import scrap prices.
According to sources, workable wire rod prices in Turkey are at around $565-585/mt, down by $10/mt over the same period, depending on the region.
One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its wire rod price at $585/mt ex-works today, April 15.
