Turkish merchant bar producers have increased their domestic prices by TRY 50-500/mt week on week in the local currency, with their prices rising by $10/mt on the higher end on US dollar basis, amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and costlier import scrap. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 25,250/mt ($604/mt) ex-works today, October 14.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in November or from stocks, depending on the size.
The general sentiment on the demand side is negative due to the unclear financial situation in the country.
