Over the past week, Turkish merchant bar producers have raised their local prices by TRY 400-750/mt ($5-21/mt) amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and the relatively positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 23,500/mt ($606/mt) ex-works today, May 13.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in June or from stocks, depending on the size.
